My background combines creativity, design, marketing, and a genuine interest in understanding people. I love figuring out what makes a person or business different — and then finding ways to make that difference visible.
I created MerakikiCo because I wanted to build someting that allowed me to bring those pieces together.
MerakikiCo is a name built from pieces of what matters to me.
I have always loved the Greek word - meraki - the idea of putting a piece of yourself, your creativity, and your love into the things you create.
The word felt especially meaningful to me because creativity has always been a big part of who I am.
Then there's Kiki, a nickname my little cousin gave me when she was young because she couldn't quite say my name. I've always loved that little piece of our relationship, so combining the two felt natural.
And then there's Co. - short for company, because apparently adding three little characters made it feel much fancier.
And that's how MerakikiCo came to be.
It's a little personal, a little creative, and very much me.
I designed the MerakikiCo logo myself when I created my LLC in 2024.
I went through many different concepts before I landed on this one. I sketched, changed things, started over, and kept playing with ideas until something finally felt right.
I didn't want someting overly complicated or overly coporate. I wanted it to feel simple, creative, a little whimsical, and professional at the same time.
Most importantly, I wanted it to feel like me.
So I kept it.
Two years later, it's still the logo I want representing MerakikiCo.
I don't believe great branding starts with picking a pretty color palette or finding the perfect font.
It starts with understanding the person behind the business.
When I work with a client, I want to understand who they are, what they value, how they want their customers to feel, and what makes their business different.
Because your brand shouldn't feel like something that was simply placed on top of your business.
It should feel like a reflection of it.
A professional brand can still have personality. A polished brand can still feel warm. A simple brand can still be memorable.
My goal is to find that balance and create something that feels authentically yours.
I'm naturally more of a listener than a loudest-person-in-the-room type of person. I like getting to know people, noticing the little details, and thinking through ideas before jumping into them.
I think that actually works pretty well in branding.
This is because before I can create something that represents your business, I want to understand it.
